Find the coordinates of the point of interserction of the graph with the axes. (4 marks)

The given equation y = 3x + 3, means that for any value of x ,
the value of y is three more than thrice of x.
x -1 0 1 2
y 3(-1) + 3 = 0 3(0) + 3 = 3 3(1) + 3 = 6 3(2) + 3 = 9

Plotting the point (−1, 0) (0, 3) (1, 6) (2, 9), we get, (3 marks)
Therefore, the coordinates of the point of interserction with the axes are (-1, 0) and (0, 3). (1 mark)
