Draw the symbols to represent the following components of electrical circuits:
Cell, bulb, switch in the ‘ON’ position, switch in the ‘OFF’ position and battery.
The symbols of the components can be represented as below.
(i) Cell - An electric cell acts as a source to produce electricity.
(ii) Bulb - An electric bulb is a device which gives out light due to the lighting and heating effect of electric current.
(iii) Switch - A switch is a control element used in an electric circuit to regulate the flow of electric current. In 'switch on' state, the circuit will be closed and in 'switch off' state, the circuit will be open.
(iv) Battery - Battery is a combination of two or more electric cells.
