With the increase in temperature the difference in vapour pressure gradient of water between atmosphere and leaf mesophyll cells will increase. Hence, first transpiration will increase but at high temperatures, the guard cells will start losing their turgidity consequently stomata will become partially closed. Thus, there will be a decrease in rate of transpiration.
