With the increase in wind velocity the difference in vapour pressure gradient of water between atmosphere and leaf mesophyll cells will increase. This is because at high wind velocity air can remove more water vapour from the vicinity of leaf stomata. Hence, first transpiration will increase but at high wind velocity, stomata will become partially closed. Thus there will be a decrease in rate of transpiration at high wind velocity.
