First reading is always back sight. Levelling work has been done along falling gradient. So, reading will always increase until instrument is not shifted. Third reading is less than second reading, this shows shifting of instrument after second reading. so second reading is fore sight and third reading is back sight. Fourth reading is last reading. so, it is fore sight.
