During electrolytic dissociation of sodium chloride, the sodium ions are discharged at the cathode. Give reasons.

Sodium is positive ion= Na+ and cathode contains negative charge.
We know that unlike charge (+,-) attract each other.
So, sodium ions attracted to cathode.
This is true in case when the NaCl is concentrated.
