When we breathe in, we inhale many gases, including oxygen. What happens to the gases that the body can't use?
They are exhaled.
Inhalation is the process of breathing in air. The only part of the air that our body can use is oxygen. As we inhale, we take in all the gases present in the air around us. As we exhale, we push out the gases that our body can’t use. Breathing is actually a rhythmic process of inhalation and exhalation in which air rich in oxygen is taken in and air rich in carbon dioxide is given out.
