An extra copy of the X chromosome results in the disorder called Klinefelter's syndrome. Such an inidvidual will have the karyotype of 47, XXY. [1]

The child will develop overall masculine secondary characteristics but will also show some feminine secondary characteristics such as gynaecomastia (development of breasts). These individuals are sterile, they produce little to no sperm. [1]
