An oocyte finishes meiosis I as its follicle develops (amid ovulation) bringing about an optional oocyte and the first polar body. After ovulation, every oocyte proceeds to metaphase of meiosis II. Meiosis II is finished just if treatment happens, bringing about a prepared develop ovum and the second polar body.
