Solution
Once the blastocyst is implanted in the uterine wall they produce finger-like projections from trophoblast and is surrounded by uterine tissues forming the placenta.
The placenta is responsible for the exchange of gases between the foetus and mother, it provides nutrients to the foetus from the mother. The waste products like carbon dioxide are carried from the foetus to the mother through the placenta.
