The correct option is A A, B

Let C's weight be x.
C weights half as much as D, then D's weight is 2x.
B's weight is (4+12)x.
A's weight is 2(4+12)x.
E's weight < A's weight, E's weight > x

D's weight half as much as E, then E's weight will be 4x.
We have the sequence in terms of weight as :
C < D < E < B < A.
Clearly E's weight is lighter than A and B
Hence A,B is the correct answer.
