Eocell=EoOP,anode+ EoRP,cathode
Thus, the standard emf of the cell is the algebraic sum of the standard potential of anode for oxidation and standard potential of cathode for reduction. This can also be expressed in terms of standard reduction potentials as
Eocell=EoRP,cathode,RHE EoRP,anode,LHE
The standard emf of the cell is the difference between the standard reduction potential of cathode (right hand electrode) and the standard reduction potential of anode (left hand electrode).
