Each of the 2 side of isosceles triangle os three times as large as third side . If the perimeter of the triangle is 28 cm,find each of the the triangle

let the third side be x
and the other two sides are 3times larger than the third side ie., the other two sides are 3x
and according to the question we have, its perimeter = 28 cm
perimeter = side +side+side
ie., x+3x+3x = 28
=> 7 x = 28
=> x = 4
then the third side is 4 cm
since the other two sides are 3 times greater than the third side
3*x = 3*4 = 12 cm
and we can verify it by
12 + 12 + 4 = 28= perimeter given.
