A food chain is a sequence of who eats whom in a biological community. Most food chains start with the producers followed by different types of consumers like the herbivores, carnivores, top predators, decomposers, etc. Each food chain is a diagram including a series of arrows, each pointing from one organism to another and each organism or step represents a trophic level.
