The correct option is C 0.83 G

Given: Dip θ = 37°

Vertical component V= 0.5 G

To find: Earth’s magnetic field B

Solution :

If θ is the angle of the dip, then

tanθ= VH

We know,

tan θ= 34


H = Vtanθ= 0.534= 0.67 G

Now
Btotal=V2+H2 = 0.52+0.672 =0.83 G

Hence C option is correct
