Eating junk food results in several health problems including obesity and heart trouble. Still, most of the children like to eat junk food. Sweta as a responsible student creates awareness among the children to avoid eating such junk food.
Answer the following questions based on above information:
(i) What values are shown by Sweta?
(ii) What suggestion will you give to avoid eating junk food?

(i) Sweta will have to create awareness among children about the need of eating a healthy diet by explaining to them that junk foods contain an excess of carbohydrates, fats and preservatives that can cause a lot of problems. Not only the saturated fat in the foods the excess carbohydrates in the body are also converted to fat and gets deposited in various parts of the body. Deposition of these saturated fats in blood vessels can lead to constriction of blood vessels resulting in high blood pressure which might ultimately lead to heart attack.
(ii) The following suggestions can be given to avoid junk food; plan your meals ahead of time and stick to it. Do not give in to your cravings. Eat small portions of food at regular intervals. Include healthy foods rich in fibre in your snacks. Avoid food prepared in the restaurants or other stores.
