Trisomy 5 is a chromosomal disorder caused by the presence of three copies of all or part of the short arm (p) of chromosome 5. The symptoms include Increased respiratory infections, slanting space between eyelids, bulbous nose etc. Chromosome 9 trisomy is called as mosaicism syndrome which is caused by the presence of three copies of the entire 9th chromosome. Trisomy 15 causes abnormalities of facial and cranial features, hands, and feet and growth retardation in the fetus. Trisomy 18 causes Edward's syndrome that leads to severe physical birth defects in infants. The surviving infants have profound mental retardation. The correct answer is D.
