Solution

The correct option is C +20 to 25 mm Hg
The first step in the urine formation is the filtration of blood which is carried out by the glomerulus and is called glomerular filtration. The amount of the filtrate formed by the kidneys per minute is called the glomerular filtration rate (GFR). The net filtration pressure is the outward pressure minus the inward pressure

i.e Glomerular (blood) hydrostatic pressure-(glomerular osmotic pressure+Capsular hydrostatic pressure)
=70mm Hg - (28mm HG +20 mmHg)
= 22mm Hg.

Hence effective net filtration pressure in the glomerulus in the kidney of man is about +20 to 25 mm Hg.
So, the correct answer is '+20 to 25 mm Hg'.
