Eight football teams - Italy, Norway, Brazil, Spain, Germany, Argentina, England and Portugal - participated in the mini world cup. These eight teams are divided into two groups. A and B - of four teams each group, every team played exactly one league match with every other team. The top two teams from each group, based on the number of points scored in the league matches, qualify for the next round, i.e., the semifinals. In the semifinals, the team with the highest number points from Group A will play with the second highest number of points from Group B, and the team with the highest number of points from group B will play with the team with second highest number of points from Group A.
