Solution

The correct option is B Any of these

D. Any of these

Reason: Megaspore mother cell undergoes meiosis to form four haploid megaspores. The nucleus of megaspore divides into two, four and finally eight daughter nuclei. There are 3types of embryo sacs. Monosporic-In monosporic a single nucleus of functional megaspore undergoes 3 mitotic divisions to form 8 nuclei but 7cells. Biosporic-In this case, embryo sac develops from two megaspores nuclei. Then 8 nuclei are formed by mitotic division of megaspores of nuclei. Tetrasporic-Tetrasporic is more heterogeneous because all the 4 megaspores are involved in the formation of embryo sac and are genetically different. All the 4 haploid nuclei lie in a single cell called coeno-megaspore. This coeno-megaspore participate in the formation of embryo sac. Then the embryo sac is 8 nucleate.
