• Its objective was to achieve 100 percent enrolment of students in primary schools in a district. Seven states, including Maharashtra, have implemented this plan.
• Features: It aimed to achieve 100% attendance in primary schools and also focused on issues such as education for girls and the physically challenged, preventing student dropouts, raising social awareness about the value of education, primary education research and assessment, and so on.
