Elections in Mexico were not held with fair practices which is the reason why PRI (Institutional Revolutionary Party) has never lost any election until 2000, from 1930 (independence of Mexico).
Some of the unfair practices followed by PRI are:

• Government employees were forced to attend the PRI party meetings and show actively participation.
• Media used to ignore good deeds of opposition media and always criticise them.
• Government school teacher's force and manipulate parents to caste their vote for PRI.
• Being the government of the time, PRI spent a large sum of money in the election campaign.
