We know that Electric flux through a closed surface is
Φ=E.A
also
λ=ql=Q coulomb cm1=100Q coulomb m1
We know that Electric field due to infinite long charged wire is
E=λ2πϵ0r
and curved surface area of cylinder is A= 2πr l
Since electric field vector and area vector are in same direction.
Therefore, the electric flux through the cylinder is
=λ2πϵ0r2πr l=λ lϵ0 ,(l=1 m, λ=100Q coulomb m1)=100Qϵ0
