Electrons are emitted by a hot filament and are accelerated by an electric field as shown in figure. The two stops at the left ensure that the electron beam has a uniform cross-section. Match the entries of column-I with column-II as electron move from A to B

Speed of electron will increase as it travels from A to B since work done on it will be positive.
B:
No of free electrons per unit volume of the filament will decrease since the no of electrons decrease.

Current density remains same since the rate of emission of electrons remains same over time.
