During the light reaction of the photosynthesis, the PsII gets excited by absorbing the photons of light and emit high energy particle known as electrons. The electrons emitted by the PS II is passed to the first electron acceptor known as pheophytin which further passes to other electron carriers which finally helps in the formation of ATP and NADPH2 along the potential gradient.
