Elements are mostly grouped into metals, non-metals and
metalloids
The elements can be classified as metals, nonmetals, and metalloids. Metals are good conductors of heat and electricity and are malleable and ductile. Most of the metals are solids at room temperature, with a characteristic silvery shine. Nonmetals are generally poor conductors of heat and electricity, most of them are gases at room temperature. The metalloids are intermediate in their properties, meaning that they depict the properties of both metals and non-metals under different circumstances.
