(a) The two sets of elements which have similar properties are F and Cl, Na and K

(b) The given sequence represents 'Newlands law of Octaves'.

In 1864, Newlands made an attempt to classify elements. Similarly, Newlands stated that an eighth element starting any given one will have similar properties of first like the eight notes of an octave of music. So he called this relationship as the law of octaves.
