Given: x = 2 cosθ-3 sinθ and y = cosθ+2 sinθx- 2y = 2cosθ -3sinθ-2(cosθ+2sinθ) = 2cosθ -3sinθ-2cosθ-4sinθ= -7sinθ sinθ = -x-2y7Also, 2x+3y = 22 cos θ-3 sinθ+3(cosθ+2sinθ)= 4 cosθ-6 sinθ+3 cosθ+6 sinθ= 7 cos θcos θ = 2x+3y7We know that sin2θ+cos2θ = 1-x-2y72+2x+3y72 = 1 (x-2y)2+2x+3y2 = 49
