(i) Women workers between 1900 and 1930 led a miserable life. They occupied 31% of factory labour but were paid half or three quarters of men's wages.
(ii) During the February revolution in 1917, many women workers participated in the strikes. Until, 1930 their conditions were pathetic and found difficulty in rearing their children whom they had to carry to the workplace.
(iii) They were deprived of political rights and considered as passive citizens.
