Solids have strong intermolecular force of attraction. That is why they have high density and they are incompressible.
The diffusion of solid in solid is less. For ex., place some crystals of potassium permanganate and copper sulphate. They wont diffuse with each other. The reason the particles wont move from one place to another due to the strong force of attraction.
