Solution

The plants obtain raw materials mainly nitrogen for making proteins from the soil. They absorb nitrogen directly from the soil through roots. The soil gets enriched naturally either by decomposition of dead animals and plants by bacteria or by fixation of atmospheric nitrogen by some bacteria called nitrogen fixing bacteria.
