Question

May i know how thus the colour change in an insulator when an acid or a base is added ?

Open in App
Solution

An insulator or a non conducting solution does not produce ions but when an acid or a base will be added to it, they will release ions and the colour will be depicted according to the strength of acid and base added. If acid is added the litmus will change to red and blue in case of base.
