Solution
The endocrine system has two types of glands, which include exocrine and endocrine glands.
During adolescence, that is from the age of 13- 18, the body undergoes different changes. During these age intervals ovaries in female produces estrogen and progesterone which helps in secondary sexual characteristics. Similarly, in the case of a male, testes produce a hormone called testosterone which helps in the development of the male sex organs and secondary sexual characters.
As humans age hormonal secretion like estrogen, testosterone, and growth hormone secretion decreases. These adversely affect the body of human beings. In the case of females reduced production of estrogen results in menopause. In the case of males the lowered production of testosterone results in the reduction of sexual desire and function. Growth is also ceased.
