Solution

The correct option is C

Unidirectional

The driving force for the ecosystem is the energy of the sun. The autotrophs capture the solar energy and convert it into food. The energy harnessed by the primary producers, flows from producers to consumers to decomposers and at each trophic level some energy dissipates as heat. Once the energy is lost as heat, it cannot be recycled. Hence, we say that energy flow in an ecosystem is unidirectional.
