Question

energy loss is given by C1C2 (V1 -V2)2/ 2(C1+C2) , WHEN TWO CAPACITORS ARE CONNECTED TO EACH OTHER BY CONDUCTING WIRE. IF THESE TWO ARE CONNECTED BY SUPERCONDUCTING WIRE THEN HOW ENERGY LOSSES IS COUNTED?

Solution

Connecting wires are used to provide continuity of circuit. Wires may be normal wires or superconducting wires, they carry current weak or strong in the circuit. Therefore there is no effect on the loss of energy by connecting the the two capacitors by normal wires or by superconnecting wires.
