Solution
The correct option is A35x+20y Enmesh bought x apples at 0.50 each, so cost price of apples=0.50x
He bought y kiwi fruit at 0.80 each, so cost price of kiwi fruit=0.80y
Total cost price of the fruits=0.5x+0.8y
Now,
Enmesh sold x apples at 0.85 each, so selling price of apples=0.85x
He sold y kiwi fruit at 1.00 each, so selling price of kiwi fruit=1.00y
Total selling price of the fruits=0.85x+y
Now,
Profit= total selling price-total cost price
=0.85x+y−(0.5x+0.8y)
=0.35x+0.20y in rupees
Here, only if we convert it to paisa, i.e; multiply by 100, profit becomes 35x+20y
