Enthalpy of chemisorption is in the order of?
80 - 240 kJ per mol
If you have seen the video, you will know that chemisorption is a result of the formation of chemical bonds and compounds.
Because of the formation of compounds, the process becomes irreversible. It is not easy to make the adsorbed molecules desorb and come back to native state.
This is the reason why the enthalpy of formation is higher, usually in the order of 80 - 240 kJ per mol.
