Pyruvic acid is the end product of glycolysis which enters Krebs' cycle by going through a link reaction using pyruvate dehydrogenase complex. The enzyme pyruvic dehydrogenase removes CO2 and hydrogen molecule from pyruvic acid which is called oxidative decarboxylation. This forms a 2C compound acetyl CoA which can enter Krebs' cycle.
