Allosteric enzyme

Michaelis constant (K${}_m$) is a mathematical derivative or constant which indicates the substrate concentration at which chemical reaction catalysed by an enzyme attains half of its maximum velocity. Its values in between 10${}^{-1}$ to 10${}^{-6}$ M. High K${}_m$ value indicates low affinity of the enzymes to its substrate and low K${}_m$ value indicates strong affinity.
