In Gnetum gnemon, Charmichael and Friedman (1995) have reported that the two male gametes of a pollen tube fuse with different nuclei. In Ephedra one male gamete fuses with egg while other fuses with venter canal nucleus (Khan, 1943). Hence they show double fertilization.
