Solution

Epithelial tissue:

  1. The cells in epithelial tissue are densely packed, with no intercellular spaces.
  2. The basement membrane is a network of white, non-elastic collagen fibers on which cells rest.
  3. There is no blood flow to this tissue.
  4. Some epithelial cells are permeable because they are involved in physiological activities such as respiratory gas exchange, absorption, secretion, and so on.
