Let, initially, we take m gm . each of Fe and S8 .
Fe+18 S8 FeS
t=0m56m2560
t=t(m256m56×18)=3m1792
Here, Fe is limiting reactant while S8 is excess reactant. so, moles of so left unreacted =3m1792
mass of S8 left unreacted =3m1792×256=3m7
So, 37=0.43 fraction of initial mass of S8 is left unreacted.
