Let the mass of liquid and water used to form the mixture be m each.

Density of water be ρ.
Give, the relative density of liquid RD=ρlρw=2
Thus, the density of liquid is ρl=2ρ

Volume of water used is Vw=m/ρ
Volume of the liquid used is Vl=m/(2ρ)

Total mass =m+m=2m and total volume =V1+V2=3m/(2ρ)

Density of the mixture is ρm=2m/(3m/(2ρ))=4ρ/3

As density of water is ρ=1 g cm3, we have density of the mixture as 4/3 g cm3
