The metal ball will take the least time for moving in the case of fabric that has smooth texture, and on the other hand, it will take maximum time on the fabric with rough texture.
Fabric Y is silk which is derived from the larva of an insect. Silk has a very smooth texture. Therefore, metal ball takes the least time. Fabric Z is jute fabric obtained from the stems of the plant, which is very rough in texture. So metal ball takes maximum time to reach other end of fabric.
