$2 H g 402 g + I_{2} 254 g \to H g I_{2} 656 g$

Let the wt. of $H g_{2} I_{2}$ formed be x and $H g I_{2}$ formed be y.
In the case of $H g_{2} I_{2} = \frac{402}{656} x, I_{2} = \frac{254}{655} x$
In the case of $H g_{2} I_{2} = \frac{201}{455} x, I_{2} = \frac{254}{455} y$

So, $\frac{402}{656} x + \frac{201}{455} y = \frac{254}{656} x + \frac{254}{455} y$

$= 0.513 : 1$
