The correct option is A 3xy=±10

Given that:

4x23y2=24

On dividing by 24, we get

x2(6)2y2(22)2=1

a=6,b=22


Now,

Equation of tangent

y=mx±a2m2b2

As the line makes an angle of 30 from yaxis,

m=tan120=cot30=3 (See in the figure)

On substituting the values of a,b and m, we get


y=3x±6×38

y=3x±10

y+3x=±10


Hence, this is the answer.
