1. Let the force applied on the trolley be F and the total displacement of the trolley be ‘s’ .

Load distribution can be seen on the block diagram.

Load in the direction of the displacement = F * cosθ

2. By definition of work done = force × displacement

So, the work done by the boy to pull a trolley at the angle of θ from the ground = F cosθ * s

3. Work done = F * s * cosθ
