$i)$ The series are carboxylic acid series and the name of the functional group is carboxylic acid.

$i i)$ Molecular formula of Ethanoic acid is- $C H_{3} C O O H$
Common name- Acetic acid.

Acetic acid with ethanol in presence of $H_{2} S O_{4}$ gives esters. This process is called Esterification. A sweet smelling compound is Ethyl Acetate (Ester).
