= 2 $\times (\frac{1}{2}$ )² - 3 $\times \frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}$ )² + ( $\sqrt{3}$ )²

= $\frac{1}{2}$ - $\frac{3}{2}$ + 3

= 3-1

= 2
