Question

Evaluate P(AB), if 2P(A)=P(B)=513 and P(A|B)=25. Find P(AB)×100

Open in App
Solution

It is given that, 2P(A)=P(B)=513

P(A)=526 and P(B)=513

P(A|B)=25

P(AB)P(B)=25

P(AB)=25×P(B)=25×513=213

It is known that, P(AB)=P(A)+P(B)P(AB)

P(AB)=526+513213

P(AB)=5+10426

P(AB)=1126=0.42

P(AB)×100=42
